After Generation X bolted away to an early lead voting patterns changed significantly as the show went on, with both the Baby Boomers and Gen Y making up ground. Just one more day and perhaps the results might have been different.
However in the end Generation X, featuring Anna Steele, Caitlin Telford and Michael Carolan recorded 36.2% of the votes, the Baby Boomers with Karen Bragg, Sue Comrie and Jean-Jacques Lale-Demoz achieved 35.5% and Gen Y - LC Sands, Lucie Hallenstein and Beka Hannah recorded 28.2%.
So what does this all mean? Nothing much really! A bit like those false demographic intergenerational labels anyway.
Everyday people vote with their dollars, their dispositions and their presence. We want to thank those people who voted with their presence by attending the show and supporting the artists.
And in the overheard words of some post-modern cynic, "Last week I attended 187 events on Facebook and I didn't even have to leave my house".
